Growing with Comfort: Tools to Support Our Garden Club

My Project

My students are hands-on learners who thrive when given the chance to explore and create. In our after-school Garden Club, students work together to plant vegetables, care for fruit trees, and explore the science behind growing food.

As a Title I equity-focused school, many of our students face challenges outside the classroom.

Still, the garden provides a safe and inspiring space where they learn teamwork, responsibility, and pride in their accomplishments.

To support their efforts, we are requesting rolling garden carts, kneeling pads, harvest baskets, watering cans, and coconut coir. These resources will make gardening easier, more comfortable, and more organized for all students. A rolling cart will help move supplies, kneeling pads will make planting and weeding accessible, harvest baskets will allow students to collect produce safely, and watering cans will let even our youngest gardeners contribute. Coconut coir will provide a sustainable growing medium to give our plants the best start.

With these tools, students can focus on learning, collaboration, and sustainability while experiencing the joy of growing their own food. Your support will empower them to build healthy habits, care for the environment, and share their harvest with the school community.
