My Students

My students are special because they are excited to come to school and learn. Even in this time of uncertainty and upheaval, they have shown a resilience that is inspiring. My students have been able to create and foster a classroom environment that is welcoming and respectful. COVID-19 has brought about a need for additional manipulatives, so that students are not sharing supplies.

My Project

These resources will help students with their reading, writing, and math through the use of math manipulatives, counters and wands, and writing journals. By using binders for daily work and desk partitions during weekly assessments, students will be able to remain organized. Students will be able to work on their social-emotional learning through sharing, collaboration, and expression of their emotions through art. COVID-19 has made the use of hands-on materials even more necessary since students need more SEL and academic instruction to ensure that they do not fall behind.
