Our school is a Title 1 school, and we have a population of students that come from low-income families. We are also 100% free lunch. Despite all of their life challenges, my gifted and talented second graders are so hard-working and motivated! They push past their situations and still manage to come out victorious! They are so special because they have a tremendous desire to learn and be successful, and we all love each other dearly. We are one, big, happy family!
They all have many BIG dreams and aspirations for their lives, and I desire for them all to meet those goals and soar!
The headphones are very much needed! Our school has recently been blessed with the ability go provide Chromebooks to each classroom, however, we do not have enough headphones to go around. The headphones will allow students to get on things like iStation, Prodigy, RAZ Kids, and Cool Math without being distracted.
The magnetic display shelves will allow me to display our mentor texts and any seasonal texts that I suggest are good reads for students.
The second shelf will allow for the students to display their favorite picks for our current reading unit.
The 6 slot file organizer will be a housing unit for our new Chromebooks. They will have a place where they won't get messed up and can charge.
The Lego building plates will allow students to have a place to get creative when they are doing Lego Challenges during our morning station time. I only have one small plate, and it is a cause of arguments. Hopefully these plates will ease the arguments and allow all students a space to get creative!
I know all of these items are random, but we are in dire need of them in our classroom! Thank you so much for reading our project, and I hope you will be compelled to help contribute!
