Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember going to a beautiful, serene library with new, crispy and shiny books? (I do!) This experience is unforgettable. I want to share this experience with my new students. With donations we will be able to accomplish this everlasting experience and make some more.

These 4th grade bilingual students are electric and charming.

This particular class loves to interact with each other in extracurricular activities like soccer. We attend a "bucket filling" school where students pursue acts of kindness to fill the hearts of others thus, they are bucket fillers. This concept is taken from the book "Have you Filled a Bucket Today: A Guide to Daily Happiness for Kids".We have plastic buckets all around the school to remind students that bucket filling is essential to our school community in embracing friendship, trust and love. An example of bucket filling is sending a smile.

My Project

With an acquired library, students will be able to read NEW books. Most of our books have been passed down from teacher to teacher. I want my students to be able to feel new books and want to read. Also, students will be able to share these experiences with their classmates. Reading is essential in every child's life and I want them to have the ability to read new books and want to read topics that will interest them.

If you read the previous paragraphs we will now ask you to be a BUCKET FILLER.

With this donation, an act of kindness, you will be able to fill the buckets of my 4th grade bilingual students.
