My Project

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow into a confident reader and writer! In my third-grade classroom, I work with a wide variety of learners, each with unique strengths, needs, and learning styles. Some of my students are ready to soar with challenging texts and deeper thinking, while others are still working to build the foundational skills and confidence they need to access grade-level literacy.

With these engaging literacy materials, my students will have more opportunities to learn in ways that meet them where they are and help them grow!

These resources will allow me to better differentiate small group instruction and literacy stations so that every student can receive meaningful, targeted practice.

Our new materials will support important reading and writing skills such as identifying the main idea, finding and using evidence from the text, improving reading fluency, and strengthening writing skills. Students will be able to interact with a wide variety of hands-on texts and activities that make literacy meaningful, engaging, and fun!

These materials will also give my students valuable opportunities to learn and practice screen-free. By putting engaging texts and hands-on literacy tools directly into their hands, students can collaborate, discuss, explore, and build their skills in an active learning environment.

My hope is that these resources will help high achieving students continue to stretch and challenge themselves while also giving developing readers the support, practice, and confidence they need to grow. Every student deserves to feel successful when they open a book, share an idea, or put pencil to paper.
