My Project

Growing Readers to Become Leaders will help my students at their reading levels to grow to more advance reading levels. This class was the Kindergarten class during online learning and they need a more solid foundation in their reading skills to show growth in learning.

By providing various reading levels books, they will be able to advance in their reading level skills to grow more in reading and learning.

The students I am serving come from a Title I school with many receiving free or reduced rate lunches along with a fixed mindset that I am trying to turn around. I have taught many character lessons on perseverance, integrity, making right choices, and leaving a legacy. I hope to instill in them a growth mindset that allows learning to take place. There is a quote that I use daily with them and it is...
