My students bring my classroom alive! Their love of learning and curiosity is why I love my job! I've created an environment in my classroom where my students feel safe and nurtured.
If you were to walk into my classroom, you would feel as if you were walking into our home, and you would see that we are more of a big family than a class.
My class consists of 13 eager-to-learn second graders in a rural district. Our room is full of readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and dreamers. I am always encouraging my students to get up and get learning in their home-like classroom. There is truly nothing better than watching my students engage in active learning together.
My Project
A growth mindset is when students understand that their abilities can be developed. Unfortunately, the majority of students do not naturally inhibit a growth mindset. Fortunately, growth mindset is something that I can help my students develop and grow!
The books and materials requested in this project will help my students understand that they can achieve at high levels by using the power of believing that they can improve!
Once my students develop a growth mindset, the possibilities are endless! I truly believe my students are capable of anything they put their mind to. By working with the materials in this project, my students will believe in their abilities as well! What an amazing gift to give to my students!
