Help me give my students manipulatives, learning games, and word puzzles to make learning hands on, as well as a carpet to stay focused during learning, and spacemen to help them with their writing!
This project will give my first-grade students access to hands-on learning through the use of manipulatives, learning games, and word puzzles. The use of manipulatives, such as foam shapes and coins, learning games, and word puzzles will help all of my students acquire knowledge more easily and build their understanding better especially English Language Learners. Spacemen will help them with the foundations of writing a proper sentence.
Organization and order make our classroom welcoming and make it easy for students to learn procedures, which gives us more time to focus on learning.
The carpet will help them stay focused in a designated spot during learning and also help create a meeting spot to build our classroom community. The batteries will be used in student timers to help students keep track of how much time they have left in each of our reading and math centers. Name tags and organizational baskets help keep our room neat and orderly, which allows us to focus our time on learning!
