My Project

I teach an excellent group of inquisitive second graders. My students love reading and are in need of a more robust classroom library.

Research shows students are more likely to finish a book they have picked out themselves.

Students also say they feel a sense of accomplishment when they finish a book. My goal is for every student in my class to feel that sense of accomplishment.

In order for that to happen, my students need to have access to a variety of books to choose from in our classroom. I plan for each student to have their own book bin to keep their chosen books in.
