Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a high needs public school with limited resources. Most of the students in my school come from low-income families and are faced with many challenges in their lives. Yet they come to school ready to learn and absorb new knowledge.
School is a place where they can experience the world around them through engaging lessons, collaborative projects and a caring community.
My students are very eager and active students who are full of energy. They need all the support and encouragement the school community can provide.
My Project
Now more than ever my students need engaging lessons that will motivate their learning from home. Distance Learning is not easy! Unfortunately, my students face challenges on a daily basis that make learning from home sometimes difficult. I have been integrating art in my lessons, but we are in need of new materials.
I hope to inspire my students to create beautiful works of art that will be viewed by their peers and families!
I will integrate art lessons with science as we learn about plants. We will be observing famous artworks that show the beauty of nature.
