Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school needs your help to keep our Earth green! There's little to no outdoor learning environments for students at our school. So growing a garden to grow food and learn about the natural world is so important! This garden will create a sense of pride and community at our school. Students will have the chance to help plant seeds, tend to the garden and pick produce from the garden. We are hoping the garden will continue to thrive over many years.

Our growing school garden is in need of many garden supplies to support student access and also help us grow the garden to its full potential!

Many of the students at my school come from economically disadvantaged households. I am excited to begin creating a garden with the tools, water cans, and gloves where all my students can learn both academic and life skills in the garden.
