Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class begins every day by me greeting my students and we set our daily classroom goals. When we are done setting our goals, my student always say, " Today I pledge to be the best possible me." After we are done, we set off on our daily adventure of conquering math and exploring science. My students are a group of gifted and talented students that are passionate about their education. My students love to explore and investigate the world around them and they are very driven to learn new things. The school is in a community that has a poor socioeconomic background, but that has never prevented my students from wanting to learn and becoming leaders.
My Project
My students are innovators that try to find new and crafty ways to test their knowledge. My students will be able to take their knowledge of living green to the next level by creating their own garden in class. My students are always curious as to how they can bring their education to the next level. To do this, my students would like to start growing their own garden using a hydroponics kit and fluorescent light stand. Having these supplies in our class will give my students the extra edge they need to better understand plant growth and life cycle. Also, this will give my students the opportunity to be green ambassadors for the environment.
