My Project

At the high school level, many students have lost their enthusiasm for learning because so much of instruction at this level is passive. I would very much like to add these crystal growing kits to my library so that my students remember what it was like when they were younger and loved the experiential learning that happens much more often at that level.

Imagine all the amazing organic conversations the students and I will have while these amazing crystals grow right on the library desk where everyone can see them!

What an excellent opportunity to talk about earth and environmental issues. Not only will we talk about the amazing science behind crystals in their natural state, but we will also be reinforcing the science curriculum they are experiencing through their classroom teachers. Win-Win!
