My students are wonderful! My students show eagerness and curiosity as learners. My students are very excited to come to Pre-k to learn! My students gain meaning by listening. My students gains meaning by listening to teachers and other students.
My students show interest in counting.
My students are interested in counting every day at circle time. My students count school days, weather days, dots and attendance.
My students explore the needs of living things. My students feed the fish daily. My students water the plants daily. My students begin to recognize their physical characteristics and those of others. My students learned all about me.
My students participate in group music experiences. My students sing and dance to music.
The students in the preschool classroom need a Bluetooth mini projector to be able to jam and groove to music and videos! Currently, an iPad is used to play music and videos throughout the day and with a Bluetooth mini projector, everyone will be able to see the video to jam and groove! Jammin and Groovin to music help during transition times so students always have something to look forward to!
Providing a rich and varied musical environment for a child not only enhances their musical tastes and exploration, these playful, engaging musical experiences can facilitate skill acquisition.
Children develop systematically along five domains: speech/language, fine motor, gross motor, cognition and social skills. Music helps with all domains.
Not only is music a success-oriented and engaging means of addressing these skill areas, music drives neuroplasticity by pairing non-musical skills with music. This engages multiple systems of the brain in synchrony and fosters communication between both hemispheres.
As a child sings and dances research indicates that they are building pathways in the brain that will benefit them with learning.
