I showed them the hand held vacuum and told them anytime we see a mess to tell the teacher and we can vacuum it up! We had paint on the floor and we were able to use the swiffer to clean up the paint from the floor! My one student started saying \"Clean up, Clean up, everybody everywhere!\" My students were excited to have items that the teacher can use to clean up our classroom! The stories also are written with many rhyming words and students were able to identify the rhyming words, for example, clack and track and bright and white! My students loved painting their creations just like the artists artwork! They were very excited! \"Look! I made a train just like Monet! and Look! Oooh I have a teddy bear! I found another bear!\" I asked \"what shape is this?\" Had the students count the sides of a shape they counted 8 and learned the shape octogon! I had them add 5 bows plus 2 bows equals 7 bows! Then I had them look inside the shape and sort by holes in the shape! After reading the story students learned the new ball vocabulary of golf balls, volleyball, ping pong ball, bocce ball and they enjoyed seeing the picture of a ball pit and were excited to talk about their time in a ball pit!
