Grilling for Health, Oh My!

Help me give my students the opportunity to learn to cook healthy items to feed themselves. A gas grill is easy to use for high school students and allows them to cook vegetables are growing in our garden.

My Project

My lifeskills students have disabilities that make it more challenging to be able to take care of themselves.

Students at poverty level tend to eat accessible food, that is unhealthy, thus our students are working on growing fruits and vegetables to cook on a gas grill, in our school garden.

Gardening and grilling are great skills to learn, and would be a great asset to our lifeskills/job skills class. These same skills can assist them in gainful employment.

Our students are very eager to learn and one day to become more independent.
