My Project

Motion detectors will provide student with hands on activities and real world examples that will allow students to better understand the kinematics equations and making math and science more tangible and fun.

Students will graph the motion of a wind up toy, a small mouse, and a ball thrown in the air.

The materials will be used both in my Algebra 1 and AP Physics 1 classes.

The students will benefit from exposure to motion detectors and graphing as freshman and will expand on these experiences as juniors and seniors.

Dr. Sawicka will only receive their materials if this project is fully funded by September 5.
