My Project

One of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had is starting a garden and sharing my produce with people in my life. Working with the earth and creating something new is an experience I believe would be important for my students.

Working with eighth graders means that my students are preparing to leave the school that has nurtured them and helped them grow.

Beginning a community garden in the grassy area of the school yard could be an opportunity to cultivate something new and give a gift to the school that cultivated them.

With the fulfillment of this list, my students will have all the supplies needed to begin this journey and give a class of 2026 gift to the William Dick community. It will also teach students all about the environment and how to grow a garden of their own.
