I teach 400 pre-k to 6th graders! They are always asking me questions, and they are so curious to learn new things. This school is an inner city school with high poverty.
One hundred percent of our students have free lunch.
Ninety nine percent of students are minorities. These students have so much promise and I want to do everything I can to get them the best future. I appreciate and I know all of the school community would appreciate any help for these children. They deserve to have all of the opportunities for a 21st century learner!
I would love to get a green screen for our school! I had one at my previous school and it was a wonderful addition to the classroom. I have an Ipad already we can use to videotape and take pictures of the green screen with the kids projects, but I'm asking for a moveable green screen so if teachers would like to borrow it for their classroom they can and also a book that will give us ideas of how to use it in the classroom.
Green screens can unlock a student's creativity and help them with their communication skills.
In the past I have had second graders be a weather reporter and research the weather from a choice of city around the world and with the green screen we made it look like they were actually in that city!
I've also taken videos for school projects of students creating their own commercials of their own make-believe invention, creating videos for their research projects, and I would love to be able to create with this school fun videos of students creations and work!
