My students need a portable gardening and planting station to help with our all school gardening project.

My Students

Do you remember how fun it was to play in dirt when you were a child? Or how fun it was to eat the vegetables you had planted with your own family?

My students are kindergarten kids at a preschool-8th grade small rural school in Northern California.

Our school was hit hard recently by budget constraints and our district had to close a school last year. We are beginning a "let's beautify our school" project this year and planting fruit trees and raised beds for vegetables.

My Project

Our school has just begun to beautify our campus with trees to provide shade and fruit and raised beds to provide students with the opportunity to plant and eat their own vegetables. We have received a number of items already from DonorsChoose to get us on our way but having these portable stations will help us store and move tools easily and give the students a place to work on gardening projects.

The Feed Foundation and FEED USA are helping to stop world hunger problems and provide schools with materials and supplies to help serve more healthy foods to students.

This project will provide students with opportunities and space to work on their raised beds vegetable project. The children will be able to work on science and math skills while planting and gardening and later focus on health and nutrition by eating the vegetables they have planted.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
