This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This Earth Day we need to get serious about recycling. Our Middle School students are ready to lead the way in recycling efforts to reduce the daily plastic and aluminum waste on our campus.

We are ready to turn this trash into green cash!

It is time for our students to capitalize on the reclamation value of the daily recyclables used at our school. My Engineering class will lead the way in distributing recycling cans and information to middle school students and teachers about the program. These students will be the "green crew" in charge of daily collection for middle school classrooms. They will customize and bedazzle their "green crew" uniform to add purpose and importance to their role in collecting recyclables, collecting data on reclamation, transferring the recyclables off campus, and coordinating with volunteers to reclaim and get monetization for their efforts.
