Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Knowledge is limited, imagination encircles the world," Albert Einstein said. In my classroom, I believe that creativity will lead my students on a journey filled with learning.
My students are hard-working students who care about their grades.
They strive for academic success while navigating through the ups and downs of middle school. Many of my students are involved in outside activities including sports, music, and art which helps create a well-rounded student.
My students attend a math, science, and technology magnet school that is located in a residential area. On campus, there are acres of pine trees and wooden decks which create a beautiful campus. Many of my students are bussed in from other areas and leave early to arrive to school and come home a little bit later.
My Project
The 70 masks, acrylic paints, glitter glue pens, feathers, and rhinestones will allow my students to create masks for their Greek God or Goddess project that will then be used for their Greek Plays. This hands-on project will allow my students the opportunity to be fully engaged in the creative aspects of learning. My students will be able to use colors and designs as symbols for characterization.
Every successful hands-on project allows each one of my students to realize that they can achieve.
Greek masks and student-written plays are a great combination for success. Please help my students create a memory of success.
