My Students

My classroom is a very inquisitive bunch of students. They love to learn and reading is their passion. They enjoy non fiction text and everything Science related. Our daily schedule consist of Reading, Writing and Mathematics. We are a project based classroom.

Our schools demographic is mixed as far as ethnicity and economics.

Each student plays a big part in our school's success and they take pride in their classroom and school. Our school is one of the best in the county. Our faculty and staff love to motivate our students.

My Project

I want to use these materials, Time for Kids and Super Sciences magazines, for small group instruction. The possibilities are endless. Our students will be able to use the articles for projects in Science as well as Reading. I will use these magazines to further enhance our curriculum and help our students share information throughout the city.

They will use them to spring board projects and help motivate our students.

One of the areas we are targeting are captions and illustrations. Students need practice in understanding non-fiction text.
