My Students

Calling all lovers of play, imagination, and curiosity! I am a kindergarten teacher in a rural Michigan school with a great group of wonderfully energetic and imaginative young learners to call my own. Our Continuous Progress Kindergarten model also gives me opportunities throughout the day to welcome students from the other kindergarten classrooms into our "Classroom Home" for times of learning and fun. I love teaching these little ones because they are so bright-eyed and ready to discover!

Our children are a diverse group, each bringing something unique to the table.

No two children learn in exactly the same way, so we strive to create an atmosphere with options, something to meet everyone's needs. We have many strengths and a few challenges that your gifts could help us work through!

My Project

There's nothing like grabbing a book you love and snuggling in to a comfy chair! We have worked hard to build our classroom library and my students have enjoyed the freedom to visit this part of our classroom to choose the story adventure they will embark upon!

Missing from this space: good, cozy seating!

Who looks forward to grabbing a book and... sitting on mediocre plastic chairs? Or a leaky bean bag? No one. No one wants to spend time in a space like that!

Please help us add some appropriate, comfortable reading and storytelling seats in our classroom reading nook and one for the grownup readers and guest readers too!
