Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, there is a need for specific materials such as small stools for small group instruction; privacy shields to support independent work time, and binders to organize students' work.

These materials will help me create an environment that nurtures students and will prepare them for academic success.

The small stools will provide the necessary space for my students during small group instruction. The stools will allow more students to sit around a table for small-group instruction. Having these stools will allow more collaboration and great discussion among students. Having shield desk dividers is also necessary to create individual learning space for students when they need it. These privacy shields will help students stay on task. These dividers will also give students a sense of ownership over their workspace. The individual binder is another necessary item for my students. The binders will help students keep track of their work. The magnetic hooks will provide more space to display anchor charts with visuals for students to use during independent work time. In my classroom, we are also in need of a pencil sharpener. Having writing tools always ready for students is essential to their learning. The hard drive will provide more memory space to save all my lessons and resources. We have a new program, and I am creating presentations that will enhance my lessons and keep students more engaged during instruction time. All the materials in this project are crucial to support students’ learning.
