Students were overjoyed in receiving the geometry kit which validates their status as young mathematicians, equipping them with the tools to explore math concepts in measurement and geometry. They will be able to use the geometry next year as fifth graders and can take it with them to middle and high school also.\r\n\r\nThe ipad and pencil allowed me to download the student workbook. I am able to screencast the day's lessons as we work together as a class. I can record students' thinking and model solutions as we solve the problems together. The laptop stand allows me to better adjust my laptop so students see me well during class. It also allows me storage space below the computer for other supplies instead of having to stack books on my desk.\r\n\r\nWe truly appreciate all of your support to provide advanced math opportunities to students in bilingual programs, with a total of 4 elementary schools. Students use the beanbag chair many times a day to take breaks from table time learning, or to cozy up and listen to a book. Since some students are so drawn to the chair, it has also created frequent meaningful opportunities for them to say, \"Can I have a break?\" Even a minute or two in the beanbag allows them to briefly recharge or regulate before re-engaging in learning.\r\n\r\nThe bilingual libros about emotions have been a huge hit with my preschool students. I bring the basket full of books to their classroom, and they immediately follow me to the classroom reading area to choose a book from the basket. It has also allowed them to practice social phrases such a as \"can we trade?\" when they finish reading about one emotion and want to see the book their classmate is using.\r\n\r\nI have also used the feelings books with several students who struggle with emotional regulation and recognition. We look at the colorful and captivating illustrations to learn more about how emotions might look and feel in someone's body when they experience them.
