My Project

Our students are unbelievably resilient and often have grit and wisdom beyond their years. They experience a lot and yearn for escape and excitement. My goal is for them to find that escape in books instead of social media. Books, particularly thrilling novels, offer a portal to different worlds, allowing young minds to explore uncharted territories and experience extraordinary adventures. The school library, a sanctuary of knowledge and imagination, plays a pivotal role in fostering a love for reading.

Unfortunately, our library is underfunded, limiting my ability to provide a diverse and captivating collection of books.

By supporting this campaign, you can empower students to discover the joy of reading. Thrilling novels, with their fast-paced plots and suspenseful twists, can capture the attention of even the most reluctant readers. These books offer a much-needed respite from the stresses of daily life, providing an opportunity for students to relax, unwind, and immerse themselves in a captivating story.

When students have access to exciting books, they are more likely to develop a lifelong love of learning. This, in turn, can lead to increased academic achievement, improved critical thinking skills, and a greater appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
