Graphic Novels Tell Great Stories

Help me give my students grade level biography books that are of high interest so they want to read. Students want graphic novels and Anne Frank is now available in that version. Kids will learn so much!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are struggling to read. Every book that is picked up is put right back down because it has too many words and no pictures. Graphic Novels are a way to get students to love to read again. Every graphic novel that is made available to students in the classroom is their first choice.

We are in the process of starting memoir book clubs and what better way to keep the kids' interest is through graphic novels as a choice; especially in the 5th grade.

Graphic novels do tell a story and if students can get the same information from a graphic novel, then why not help students get excited about reading again.
