This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students at our school have a wide range of writing skills. Graph paper help students regulate the size and shape of their letters, supports daily routines and creates a sense of continuity. Daily warmups and weekly math labs will help students see their own growth. Many do not bring backpacks and struggle to keep their work organized. This will help them learn how to organize and save their work. It will also become like a personal textbook. By supporting students' math literacy, through ongoing mathematical exploration, I hope to create a scientific and language-based approach to learning mathematics!
