This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students at Granby High School are playing on instruments that are older than the instructor. Many of these horns are held together by tape or mismatched parts. Our school system does its best to repair and provide new instruments but it cannot cover everything.

While the quality of our band is steadily increasing, it is important that students are given equipment that gives them the best opportunity to be successful.

It is an uphill battle when you're concerned about whether your instrument functions properly. While our goals are lofty, every little bit helps!
