This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are working hard to become bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English, but we lack the basic tools to help them accomplish this goal.

I have a fabulous group of first graders in a Spanish/English dual Immersion school-wide program.

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and income levels. They are working twice as hard to learn academic content in both languages. They are also developing their oral language in both Spanish and English which will open many doors for them in the future.

My Project

Having these thesauri to use with partners will encourage students to work together using their Spanish grammar skills while improving and expanding their overall Spanish vocabulary. The students will be able to increase their Spanish language production by asking their partners questions in Spanish.

Our students are working twice as hard to be bilingual and bicultural.

It is important that they have the basic tools to help them achieve this goal. You can make a big difference by supporting their aspiration of becoming bilingual and biliterate.
