Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing my students with Correct the Grammar Journals will give them consistent, structured practice that strengthens their writing skills over time. These journals focus on daily sentence correction, helping students recognize common grammar mistakes, improve sentence structure, and develop a clearer understanding of the conventions of written English. With regular use, students build confidence as writers, learning to express their ideas more accurately and effectively.

As English Language Learners (ELLs), my students especially benefit from explicit grammar instruction, as mastering proper grammar is essential to language acquisition and overall academic growth.

These journals offer targeted, repetitive practice in a supportive format, allowing students to internalize language patterns and apply them across reading, writing, and speaking. By strengthening their grammar skills, students will not only improve their writing but also gain the tools they need to succeed in all subject areas and communicate more confidently in English.
