Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Interventions should be guided by data to identify a student’s strengths and weaknesses. My goal with these supplies is to provide flexible small grouping in mathematics that matches a student’s readiness level for learning with the appropriate instructional strategy, delivering the right content at the right pace. Flexible grouping is an ongoing intervention process where a student’s assignment to a particular ability group can change based on performance of improved competency and skill development.

Currently my students have shown growth in mathematics with morning number sense routines.

I want to continue their progression by practicing small group instruction. My classroom would benefit from materials from Teachers Pay Teachers, calculators, and other everyday math items that I have selected and will give them additional learning games and tools for the creation and organization for small group centers.

As we start our math centers this year, our goal is to continue the use of these materials in future ELA and writing centers.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
