My Project

Students will be entertained with a read aloud, during library tech, for both authors, Grace Lin and Kate Messner. The Lin and Messner book that will be shared is titled, "Once Upon a Book".

"Once upon a Book" is a modern folktale about the joy of reading.

As educators, we are excited to present this idea, as we endeavor to encourage our students to read for the absolute joy of reading. In addition, we champion the Accelerated Reading Program to support this idea, and to encourage independent reading for all students in grades 2-5.

At the end of the week, after all students have heard "Once Upon a Book" we will be broadcasting an interview with Grace and Kate.
