Help me give my students a new way to make music—with ukuleles!

My Students
My K-5 students at this elementary school enjoy coming to music class. We do all sorts of different things during the school year, from presenting grade-level programs to playing instruments to exploring different ways of moving to participate in community events. My students enjoy having many opportunities to express themselves in creative ways.
I want to give my students, especially my upper elementary students, new opportunities with instruments and creativity by teaching ukulele.
I believe they will really enjoy learning a new and different instrument and will embrace with gusto the opportunity to create their own music!
My Project
Ukuleles are a fun, fairly simple way for kids to make music almost immediately. Having a classroom set of ukuleles will allow me to broaden my students' musical horizons and give them multiple creative opportunities.
Ukuleles bring out students' creative selves!
It is natural to start singing along while playing, and the chords are simple enough that students can make up their own accompaniment to their own songs.
There are a plethora of resources available to me to help me teach ukulele, so please help me bring this opportunity to my students!
