My K-1 students love to move and explore their rhythmic capabilities in Music class, but our current carpet does not give them much room to do so. Class sizes have continued to grow, so the carpet that once worked fine is now woefully inadequate! With a larger carpet, students will have more room when they both sit and stand, playing instruments and moving; they will not feel like they are sitting on top of each other. Not having to worry so much about bumping into each other will give them more confidence when they explore their musical selves, allowing them to be more creative.
