My students need the following net ball equipment to develop skills related to the various net sports that are taught throughout the year. My students will benefit the most from the Boulder Portable Badminton Net Set.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Net sports anyone? Net sports like badminton, pickle ball and volleyball are apart of the statewide physical education standards. Most net sports have been known to be tested on all of the exams associated with physical education. The students love learning about the games and they eventually become a class favorites.
Our school is growing at a rapid pace which makes it challenging for every student the opportunity to play.
We are pushed for time and limited on equipment which makes it challenging for every student to play during the class time. My goal is to provide students with more updated equipment so each student gets the opportunity to play and fall in love with newly learned sports.
My Project
Time and space are often an issue with inner city schools so as a physical education teacher I am often coming up with ways to meet the needs of all my students. With required state standards in place and limited equipment teaching most net sports becomes a challenge. The Boulder Portable Badminton net set will help meet the needs of all large classes and promote active participation for all students. Being able to provide more badminton and pickle ball rackets decrease a loss of class time for students that have to wait for equipment.
At LD ISD we are required to teach and develop a wide range of skill sets and sports concepts.
Majority of these skills can be applied and learned through net sports. Once the various net sports are taught, students understand the concept of each sport and these sports often become the class favorite to play.
