Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Ordo ab chao. Order from chaos. My students can find this through sports.
My students are in the first grade.
They attend public school year-round in California. Our campus is located in a very high poverty area where children in our community tend to stay inside and play video games because they can not afford team sports offered by Parks & Rec.
My Project
We need two Wilson NCAA Go Quick Soccer Goals and three Vizari Astro Soccer Balls so my students can engage in team sports. Learning soccer skills while being part of a team will help my students develop their motor skills, understand good sportsmanship, and learn healthy exercise habits.
Sports impacts the classroom in so many positive ways.
Participating in sports helps increase focus, improve cognitive skills and helps kids reach their highest potential. Every child deserves that chance!
