My Students

Think about the time you first started to learn about space and the world around you. About how things in the world are made, how they function, and the far off places you may want to go. In my classroom, I see my students with this desire almost every day.

My students are a mosaic of diversity and all bring something special to the classroom.

They are creative and curious about the world around them. They are incredibly savvy with technology and I want to give them an opportunity to use that technology to see the far off places we talk about.

My Project

Students are always asking amazing questions about the world that I want them to experience first hand. Living in Minnesota we can't go to the Coral Reef, visit a volcano, or check out the Himalayas. Being a middle school, we don't have the technology to see the smallest building blocks of life or travel to space and see the great unknown. Thankfully for technology we are able to do those things.

Using this Google Expeditions kit, I will be able to take students to these wonderful places and let them experience first-hand learning.

With this kit I will be able to lead students to the depths of the earth and then extend into outer space. Students will have answers to their questions in the most engaging way possible. Students will look forward to class even more and will walk away with an appreciation for the wonderful world we live in.
