This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the extreme pleasure of teaching 24 second grade students. They are very enthusiastic and fun loving. They come from many different backgrounds and various cultures. Their families speak many languages and have different life experiences.

One of the things they have in common is that they love to learn, and they attend our arts and technology magnet school.

Our school is a small community oriented school that strives to help all students achieve. Our class has all types of learners.

My Project

In my class the students learn in differentiated groups for language arts and math. While some are with me, others are doing different activities according to their abilities. Many of these activities are of a blended learning model. Some of the information can be videos, audio stories, and music.

So as not to bother the other groups, these headphones will keep the noise level down, and help my students stay focused on their learning and not distract others.

These headphones will also help my lowest readers hear and read along with stories at their level so they can feel more successful.
