My Project

Teaching can be challenging in this day and time. My project provides rewards and incentives for students. Incentives have been proven to increase classroom morale and provide a positive learning environment. The rewards are small but motivating and will boost student confidence.

Some students need a little extra encouragement in order to strive to be their best and should be rewarded when they reach academic and personal goals.

The incentives and rewards in my project will be added to our treasure box and students will work to earn Colt Cash to "purchase" the reward of their choice. Students will earn Colt Cash for reaching goals, and they will use the Colt Cash to purchase items from the treasure box like keychains, animal erasers, stress balls and more. This will continue throughout the year and will be available at all times for students to collect upon reaching their goals. This project is designed to teach students basic financial literacy and economics concepts, including the value of money, saving, spending, and making choices based on needs versus wants. Through this project, students will engage in various activities to help them learn and understand financial literacy/economics concepts.
