Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have special needs and special abilities. They come from a community where they all receive free lunch and breakfast. Some can barely afford school supplies. I did what I could this year in buying things that could get them where they need to be, but it isn't nearly enough. With children who are two to three grade levels behind, I'm left to get them to a point of growth. Supplying my students with classroom resources will give them the hope they need to realize that success is at their fingertips.

All students have a promising future, but that future needs to be ignited by their inner potential.

I want to set my students up for success, and that setup involves getting them the resources they need to be challenged and pushed to the next level. Each student is different, but sometimes we can expect them to fall into a cookie cutter mold that is far beyond realistic. As any passionate teacher would, I want the best for my students.

My Project

A classroom iPad would be a dream come true! All students were given an iPad during remote learning. However, when students are asked to bring in their iPad's to school everyday. The issues are, my iPad is not charged, their screen is cracked, they forgot their iPad at home, their iPad's memory is full, or needs an update. To avoid some of these issues a classroom iPad would be a dream come true. This classroom iPad will support my student's in all subject areas during intervention small groups everyday. These students will be participating in strategic and targeted lessons and the iPad will be an excellent supplement to their activities.

By donating to our project, you will be helping to support the learning recovery efforts to help bridge the learning gap that resulted from the pandemic.

Students will be able to do activities on the iPad or be rewarded with iPad time for meeting their goals. I will be able to use it to track student progress.
