My Project

My fifth-grade ELA students rotate through my classroom each day, bringing a wide range of reading abilities, learning styles, and experiences. They are curious, creative, and eager to engage with stories that challenge their thinking and spark meaningful discussions. As they strengthen their reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills, they thrive with interactive, hands-on learning opportunities that make literature come alive. By providing engaging resources and memorable learning experiences, I can help every student build confidence as a reader, writer, and thinker while fostering a lifelong love of literacy.

This project will transform our classroom into our very own chocolate factory as students participate in a month-long Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book study.

Instead of simply reading the novel, students will become inventors, scientists, writers, engineers, and artists as they journey through Willy Wonka's magical world.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
