My Project

I teach in a small school in rural eastern Kentucky, fourth grade math and science. My students LOVE hands on learning and learning in groups to keep them engaged while learning.

This project would help give my students additional materials to increase team building through groups which overall increases engagement.

Since virtual learning and the pandemic students have struggled being able to communicate with other students in a learning environment, so this year my school is implementing Kagan engagement strategies and structures. These structures and strategies use hands on materials, timers, talking chips and student regrouping sometimes in the floor to engage all learners. These materials would make my students more excited about learning and building team like relationships with their peers.
