Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a Title 1 institute, with all the students receiving free lunch. Although they are faced with social and economical hardships, they come to school giving nothing less than their best. We have started a Cheerleading squad at our school and need help getting uniforms. During these times of uncertainty and calamity, it is a wonderful thing seeing young people who in despite of their adversities; wanting to show up and inspire others. Inspire is exactly what our students do for our school . Instead of our team being called cheerleaders they should be Inspirational leaders. This project will reach at least 25 students and can be reused for students to come. As a former cheerleader I can remember putting on my uniform and feeling a great sense of pride and that is exactly what I would like to do for our students.
