My students want to impact the world or, at least, their corner of it! My students come from challenging backgrounds that can, at times, impede their learning. However, they deal with their challenges head-on and still rise to the task of completing their work.
As students spend time in my class they learn about the world's challenges and they want to fix every problem!
It is wonderful to get to spend 180 days with people so filled with hope! My goal is to give them a path where they are empowered with tools to begin realistically confronting challenges without losing hope.
My Project
I need an iPad so that my students can learn to use green screen technology in our history class. Using green screen students can conduct "live" interviews at the March on Washington or Wall Street in 1929. Students will be able to see themselves in history not just imagine themselves there!
Students need engagement to learn and what is more engaging than being at the event!
They, also, will be able to add so many other disciplines to our history class when they conduct "Breaking News" interviews. They will be using STEM skills, English/Language Arts, and research skills. Most importantly they will be engaged in their learning!
