This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with English Language Learners who are refugees and immigrants. They are making a lot of progress in reading. I have a neon sign that says, "Glowing Readers" that I want to use as the center for a display that celebrates reading growth. Students who have made the most growth for the month will be given a very brightly colored and laminated certificate with their name in big letters. These certificates will be displayed in our pod area for all to see. So I need bright paper, lamination sheets, and treats as a small bonus for working so hard on reading.
