My Project

Neon artworks are on my mind and the project ideas are everywhere I look! I want to empower my students to create magical, glowing, and inspiring art projects to show off at one of our school's art showcases during the school year using neon markers, neon crayons, and neon tempera paint. Imagine- the arts' hallway all in black, blacklights illuminating the path for viewers, and tremendous glowing artworks from different grade levels shining their brightest for all to see. I'm thinking boomboxes, roller skates, lava lamps, the possibilities are endless!

We want to be able to create a neon theme overall for the entire fine arts showcase, and this project will enable us to create more than just our glowing gallery walk for family: our students may need vibrant artistic props to use during their music performance during the showcase too!
