My Project

What I love most about my fifth graders is their incredible energy, curiosity, and bright personalities! They are at a special age where they are becoming more independent thinkers, yet they still bring so much joy, excitement, and wonder to our classroom every day. They love working together, cheering each other on, and diving headfirst into creative projects. They are hard-working, resilient, and always ready to take on a challenge when learning feels meaningful, hands-on, and fun.

The UV black lights will transform our physical classroom into an immersive "Glow Lab," immediately capturing student attention and building buy-in for our academic stations.

Using black butcher paper to cover windows and wrap desks creates a dark canvas where students can write glowing graphic organizers, brain dumps, and quick-writes directly on their workspace using highlighters. Fluorescent tape maps out physical learning stations and game-based review grids across the floor to keep movement organized and structured. Finally, bulk glow sticks serve as low-distraction station timers, team indicators, and immediate positive reinforcement rewards for students as they tackle challenging fifth-grade standards.
