Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are 2nd-grade students from low-income homes. We are a Title I school, and all my students qualify for free lunches. My students have so much to offer, and I would love to provide a positive, safe environment where they can successfully learn.

Most students lack the basics, such as warm gloves, school supplies, learning tools, and snacks.

As we prepare for the second semester, I want to plan and ensure my students have the necessary basics. Many of my students have run out of pencils. We are out of tissues and snacks, and they don't have warm gloves. We need these supplies to help my students be healthy and well-fed during the day. We will be staying after school a few days a week for tutoring, and these snacks will help reduce their hunger. With your help, I hope they have the supplies they need until June.
